The airport demonstrated how a major international event can create a lasting legacy that benefits passengers and stakeholders well beyond the Games themselves.
🏆 Best Airport (Over 40 Million Passengers): Rome Fiumicino Airport
Rome Fiumicino Airport continued its remarkable track record by once again securing the award in the Over 40 Million Passengers category. The airport was praised for its continuous focus on innovation, the adoption of predictive and AI-driven operations, and its unwavering commitment to delivering an outstanding passenger experience.
The winners were selected by an expert jury composed of leading professionals from across the transport sector, drawing on extensive industry expertise to evaluate airport performance and achievements.
Other Italian airports that were mentioned by the jury were Milan Bergamo Airport which was highly commended in the category HR Excellence and Torino Airport was highly commended in the category Best Airport in the 5 to 10 Million Passengers range.
