Non-Shengen citizens or holders of short-stay visas will be able to quickly register themselves at the airports of Bari and Brindisi by using facial biometrics.
They will be able to avoid long lines at the airport’s police stations for document verification.
The system developed by Air Tech Italy Member Reco 3.26 and supported by IT company Naitec, also an Air Tech Italy Member, records personal data, biometric data (fingerprints and facial images are captured), the type of travel document, date and place of entry and exit.
At both airports automated stations will be installed both at arrival and departure. Not only will they help to make document verification faster but they will also support the overall passenger experience by offering a smooth quality of service and faster security verification.
