Our member One Works has been selected to design the terminal expansion refurbishment of Riga Airport (RIX), new RIX Airport City. They recently released some renders of the terminal expansion and refurbishment project they are working on for the airport. The project will help establish Riga Airport as the leading aviation hub for the three Baltic states of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. In 2027, the new state-of-the-art terminal with a capacity of 12 million annual passengers will be completed. The 30,000m² terminal will include expanded check-in and security areas, automated baggage sorting system, and touchless technologies that will speed up passenger processing and increase commercial revenues.
The company’s mission is to assess Airport Pavements Management by means of a cost-benefit analysis, in order to recommend and implement the most effective solutions to rehabilitate airport Infrastructures and extend pavement residual life, with the minimum budget expenditure.
