FIRST PLACE FOR ENVIRONMENT AMONG THE TOP 100 COMPANIES ABOVE €250
MILLION IN REVENUE
Air Tech Italy Member Italcer Group, was that ranked first for environmental impact at the 2024 Sustainability Award.
This prestigious recognition, now in its fourth edition, is dedicated to the top Italian companies that have stood out in tackling the challenges of the climate emergency, turning it into an opportunity to drive innovation and activate the country’s energy.
Over 300,000 companies in Italian industry and services have invested in sustainability and efficiency, with a particular focus on energy efficiency and renewable energy sources, setting a record for eco-investments. The ranking, compiled by Kon Group and ELITE, an ecosystem of Euronext Group, with the scientific partnership of Politecnico di Milano, placed Italcer at the top of the sustainable companies this year.
All companies are rated with an ESG score, provided by the institutional scientific partner ALTIS Advisory, a spin-off of Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, and by RepRisk as the technical partner.
More specifically, Italcer ranked first in the “TOP 100 ENVIRONMENTAL >250,” achieving the highest score in environmental performance among companies with revenues exceeding 250 million euros. Graziano Verdi, CEO of Italcer Group, explains: “This award highlights the importance of conducting research and development projects and, most importantly, implementing them on an industrial scale to achieve the C02 reduction goals of the 2030 agenda. Our commitment to sustainability extends to our value chain and the communities in which we operate. It is a challenging path that requires a forward-thinking strategic vision, but at the same time, it is highly motivating because it allows us to respond responsibly to the challenges of the market and the communities we serve.”
Italcer Group is committed to the challenge of decarbonizing the production process, has just launched a new project in Spain. This project, born from a research initiative by the company Equipe in collaboration with the Jaume I University of Castellón and Systemfoc, will save 1,500 tons of C02 per year. The project was developed with the goal of completely eliminating direct C02 emissions in the production without compromising the technical and economic sustainability of the products.
Furthermore, after years of research, Italcer has designed and patented a cutting-edge system aimed at capturing, transforming, and fixing the CO2 emitted into the atmosphere by its production plants, as well as recovering and transforming both organic and inorganic pollutants into valuable materials. In 2023 alone, the group invested 5 million euros in social and environmental projects.
