We spoke to Cristian Dell’Anna, GEWISS’s Marketing Manager to find out more about GEWISS and why it decided to join Italy’s leading aviation organization.
Hi Cristian, can you introduce yourself, your function, the company and what it does?
My name is Cristian Dell’Anna, Marketing Manager Italy at GEWISS. In my role, I am tasked with driving marketing initiatives tailored specifically to the Italian market landscape. GEWISS has a rich history, spanning over 50 years, beginning with the visionary insights of our founder, Domenico Bosatelli, who introduced techno polymers to the electrical industry. Today, GEWISS is a global player, operating in over 100 countries with 28 direct subsidiaries and employing over 2,250 individuals. Our products cater to diverse needs across various sectors, including residential, industrial, sports, hospitality, healthcare, and transportation. We have evolved from merely providing products to offering comprehensive solutions through our five business units: Installation, Energy, Building, Lighting and Mobility.
Can you tell us a more about your core business? How do you make a difference with your products?
Our core business revolves around providing solutions that address a wide array of applications, ranging from residential markets to industrial markets and everything in between. What sets us apart is our ability to understand societal needs and cater to the requirements of our clients and professionals who rely on our expertise. By offering tailored solutions, we make a tangible difference in enhancing efficiency, safety, and functionality across different business segments. Why is the airport segment important for GEWISS?
The airport market represents a critical segment where reliability and safety are non-negotiable: airport infrastructure customers are very demanding when it comes to efficiency in all electronic equipment, with energy efficiency being crucial for economic reasons but also for safety reasons. GEWISS ensures both safety and efficiency through a comprehensive offer that includes solutions for indoor and outdoor lighting, primary and secondary boards for energy distribution, systems for charging electric vehicles and smart devices for the automation of building functions. By offering integrated solutions tailored to the specific needs of the airport infrastructure, we position ourselves as a trusted partner capable of delivering all the essential requirements. How do you see the evolution of your product portfolio, how does it evolve and on what basis do you decide to expand your product portfolio?
The electro-technical sector has witnessed a significant acceleration in recent years, driven by global mega-trends, particularly the digital technological component. Our focus has shifted from product-centric solutions to service-oriented approaches, prioritizing customer assistance throughout the project lifecycle. Moving forward, we aim to further develop our offerings in terms of value proposition and market share.
