Air Tech Italy has its own pavilion at the IndiAirport in New Delhi – November 21st till November 23rd.

Air Tech Italy Members Reco 3.26ewoSOFTECH and One Works will be part of the Air Tech Italy pavilion.

Reco 3.26 will showcase its FACE2FLY system for the intelligent management of passenger flows, from airport access to boarding, using facial biometrics as well as its Entry Exit System (EES) for border control through the use of facial biometrics. Already installed in the main Italian Airports and in Malta.

Air Tech Italy Member ewo will showcase its improved, fourth generation of the R–System Floodlighting family combining reliability and increased performance thanks to new lenses and drivers. The R–System gen4 reflects the wishes of the market for a highly performant, flexible product family of floodlighting with great modularity for airports. Continuous improvements and more than 200 airports around the world prove the success of this strategy.

For ewo the Indian market is a key market being one of the one of the fastest growing aviation markets in the world. ewo will share with authorities, engineers and consultants its experience from major projects around the world including Dubai, Doha, Munich, Muscat, Zurich and so many more and support Indian’s aviation in the search for high quality, high energy efficient floodlighting, uniquely designed for airports.

When interviewed about Air Tech Italy’s Member Softech and why they were present at IndiAirport Marketing Manager Maura Alfano answered that:

The aviation industry in India has seen significant growth over the past decade. India has become one of the fastest-growing aviation markets in the world, it is expected to be the world’s largest by 2030, with an estimated 572 million passengers expected to travel by air in India. In addition to this, India is Moving towards Sustainable Aviation and this is shown also by total investment $12 billion allocated for the enhancement of 41 existing airports in India.

So why is now the right time to move into India?

Government and airports seem to want to exploit this green turning point to incorporate sustainability into infrastructure improvement projects, in the case of the 21 greenfield airports even right from the initial planning; it is the case for example of the new Noida International Airport will have a carbon neutral terminal and LEED Gold standard certification. Ditto for Cochin, an airport already operational which in 2015 became the first airport in the world completely powered by solar energy an airport that is taking important actions to reduce its environmental impact.

As some past experience show, our products have a strong market in this country: our environmental monitoring systems are essential to undertake a conscious path to improve the environmental footprint of the country’s airport infrastructure.

In recent years the main interest has been on aircraft noise monitoring systems but, especially in the last period, a growing interest has also been directed towards monitoring outdoor air quality.

So what does Softech bring to the market?

To meet the market needs, we supply our SARA environmental monitoring system which, thanks to the monitoring terminals, continuously collects noise data. air quality and weather and correlates them with aeronautical activities to return indices and reports required by law. Airports around the world are embracing the shift to sustainability, and India is not far behind.

Last but not least we also welcome OneWorks to the event. One Works is the global design and consultancy firm, offering an integrated approach to architecture, infrastructure and urban engineering.

OneWorks has a large team of architects, interior designers, specialist consultants and engineers worldwide providing a flexible and stable approach to the design and delivery of projects worldwide.
