The International Air Transport Association (IATA) last week published its results from a survey of 500 European business leaders. Using air transport to do business across borders, these business leaders confirmed the continued critical nature of air transport for their business success. Some remarkable results from the survey:

  • 89% of these interviewed believed that being close to an airport with global connections gives them a competitive advantage. While most interviewed were extremely positive about air travel, there are a lot of improvements that can still be made when it comes to Europe’s air transport network.
  • 84% could not imagine doing business without access to air transport networks.
  • 82% thought their business could not survive without connectivity to global supply chains via air transport

While most interviewed were extremely positive about air travel, there are a lot of improvements that can still be made when it comes to Europe’s air transport network.
